Andrea Pirlo Arrives to America
New York City FC’s new midfielder travelled to the United States yesterday (Monday) and had his first training session today (Wednesday) with his new MLS team.

It has been a busy, and emotional week for Andrea Pirlo. The Former Juventus midfielder and Serie A legend, has now set sail to join Major League Soccer expansion team NYCFC.
As the Juventus players reported to the 1st day of preseason training at the club’s Vinovo training grounds just outside of the City of Turin in Italy; Pirlo came to bid farewell and wish his former teammates luck at the challenging Serie A season ahead.
36 year-old Pirlo played for most of his adult soccer career in Italy’s AC Milan (2001-2011) and then in Juventus (2011-2015). He was also a member of Italy’s National team.
Pirlo won the World Cup with Italy, won Serie A 6 times, including the past 4 consecutive titles with Juventus, and also 2 UEFA Champions League wins with AC Milan.
Pirlo has signed a contract with Major League Soccer’s NYCFC, until the end of the 2016 Major League Soccer season, and will join Frank Lampard and David Villa at the sky blue MLS expansion team.
Pirlo arrived yesterday to New York, and NYCFC already tweeted today photos of him at training. The new midfielder will hold his first press conference in NYCFC sky blue this Thursday, and is expected to make a debut against Orlando City FC, the other MLS 2015 expansion team, in Yankee Stadium this Sunday.
