FC Dallas started this MLS season on a high note, coming strong on the Philadelphia Union defense, and creating most of the opportunities on the Union’s half.  Still, Philadelphia’s back held its ground on the first half. 

The pressure Dallas applied finally did break Philly in the second half, with Zdenek Ondrasek scoring the first goal of the match (61’), and in addition to a staller performance from Jesus Ferreira and Michael Barrios, Paxton Pomykal doubled Dallas’s score in added time (90+1’).

Philadelphia Union did play an even match though, and taking this consistency forward can bring the Union some good wins this season.

FC Dallas will host Montreal Impact on Saturday, March 7th, and Philadelphia Union will travel to LA on Sunday, March 8th to face LAFC.
