Philadelphia Union vs. Columbus Crew SC – Game Recap
Another night of celebration for Columbus Crew, who bounced back after a loss to FC Dallas last week. More so, a welcome-home celebration for Crew’s Kei Kamara, this season’s Golden Boot leader for most MLS season goals.
Kamara came back to continue establishing his dominance, celebrating in this game his 20th goal this Major League Soccer season.
In midst of the first half, Kamara caught a ball that Philadelphia’s defender Richie Marquez tried to clear with a header. Kamara replied with a diving header of his own on the far left, finding Union’s net for the first point of the match (21’).

Shortly thereafter, Crew’s Harrison Afful who passed across to the left. Kamara, again positioning himself to the left of the goal box, slides to tap the ball for another goal from the 6-yard line (26’).

The Union did apply more pressure and create chances on the second half, but managed to capitalize only on one of these opportunities.
Sebastian Le Toux made an impressive run and from passed from the left of the box to C.J. Sapong, who scored for Philadelphia from the center of the 6-yard line (66’).
