Orlando City SC vs. Sporting Kansas City

Major League Soccer expansion team meets for the first time in its history MLS Western Conference Sporting Kansas City.

Hosts Orlando City SC are ranked eighth in the MLS Eastern Conference (7-13-8) with 29 points.  Orlando lost 3-0 at New England Revolution last Saturday, and extend to six Orlando’s run of winless games.

Visitors Sporting Kansas City are ranked fifth in Major League Soccer’s Western Conference (11-7-8).  At 41 points, Kansas is tied with fourth-placed Seattle Sounders FC and sixth-placed Portland Timbers.

Hence, this match is crucial for Sporting KC in terms of securing the last playoff position in the Western Conference.

Kansas is also coming on back of a loss, having suffered a 2-1 defeat at Colorado Rapids last Saturday.  This loss extends Sporting’s losing streak to three games.
